When we were about to purchase a secondhand car, a friend of mine told us that it might be best to have it inspected at instaMek Mobile Mechanic & Inspections, and we’re glad we did.
While we saw several car mechanic shops around the corner, we had to find ASE-certified ones who have the knowledge to check all the parts and details of the car. This comes in handy especially if you’re someone who isn’t car-savvy.
When we called them to set an appointment, we weren’t expecting that they could accommodate our request right away.
And if you’re too busy to squeeze in a trip to their shop, you’ll love that they can just conveniently go to your place, and inspect your car onsite. We loved that the mechanics came in almost an hour earlier than expected too.
You also don’t have to be home during the inspection. Just don’t forget to include entry instructions, especially if you’re keeping your car in your garage.
We loved that Ali, the mechanic, allowed us to observe during the car inspection. He would even show us the issues he found while inspecting our car.
Moreover, if you need to re-confirm everything you’ve heard during the inspection, you can just check their online portal. Here, you’ll be able to see a detailed report, complete with photos and explanation.
It’s also great that their mechanics are always responsive even during inspection. In fact, during our conversation, we found out that all mechanics working at instaMek underwent brand-specific training.
So don’t be surprised if they specifically ask for the make and model during the initial call, as they need to perfectly match their mechanic to your car’s make and model.

We recently inherited a car from my grandfather, and decided to give it to our son upon graduation. To ensure his safety, we contacted S&M Auto Service for a car inspection.

From the moment we walked into the Minit-Tune & Brake Auto Centres’s door, we immediately felt the warm welcome. We loved how their staff let us sit on the couch while they prepared all the forms that we had to fill out.
But if you’re a returning client, you’ll love that they have a good recall. While they give the equal amount of attention to both old and new clients, you’d still appreciate how they know their clientele so well.
When we couldn’t make it on time, they immediately checked the next available appointment and aligned it with us. While we’re apologetic, they didn’t make us feel like we had to pay for the inconvenience, even if it’s entirely our fault!
During the car inspection, we loved that they gave us an option to observe the mechanics or wait at the lobby. Well, whatever you choose, you’ll be given a detailed report along with a clear explanation of their findings.
Should there be repairs needed, they will prepare a detailed breakdown of costs. Don’t worry–they won’t rush you to proceed with the repair if you aren’t ready to do so.

If you’re planning to buy a new car, make sure to have it inspected by a mechanic from Do Most Auto Repairs first. Based on our experience, they have a pool of younger mechanics with great knowledge on the newest car models, so you’ll be in good hands!

We’ve got to say, they didn’t disappoint when it comes to booking an appointment. Their flexible schedule is a total win, especially if you’re someone with a pretty tight calendar.
After the diagnosis, the owners, Anthony and Lily, handed us a detailed report. What’s great about them is that they try to use more understandable terms so you won’t feel lost.
But don’t worry, if you ever need further explanation, they’re willing to provide you with more details of the inspection process, without making you feel rushed.
Upon seeing the cost breakdown, we asked if there are other ways to keep the costs to a minimum. We’re glad that they were happy to adjust some line items—they even advised us to schedule the least urgent repairs to another date.

If you’re moving out of Vancouver, one of the first things you need to do is to have a comprehensive car inspection.

And since it was our first time doing this type of car inspection, we appreciated how they guided us through the process, which allowed us to feel at ease. They also immediately took the car in for inspection, so if you’re in a rush, they’re a perfect fit for you!
Here, you don’t just enumerate all your car’s concerns. You’ll love that their mechanic will take a quick test drive around the block, ensuring that he informs you about his observations.
Unfortunately, we had to do a few repairs first before passing the inspection. Nonetheless, we’re glad that Art’s Automotive offered us a good quotation, allowing us to proceed with the repairs right away.
However, since repairs here may take a bit longer compared to its counterparts, we think that it might be best for you to look for another provider.
Well, on a lighter note, we love that this company participates in local community events and causes. In fact, we knew about them when we attended Pink Shirt Day—an event that advocates against bullying.
