When my friend got assigned to work in Vancouver, she was given a chance to choose between staying in a hotel or in a serviced apartment. And because she loved cooking her daily meals, she opted for the latter.
One night, she invited me for a simple dinner, and was amazed not just by her cooking, but by all the amenities I saw in her temporary home. It was so good, I booked for a weekend stay with my family in one of the best serviced apartments in Vancouver too!
So if you’re planning for a little vacation that will surely bring a piece of home with you, make sure to check out the serviced apartments we tried and loved in the city.
How much does a serviced apartment cost in Vancouver?
The average cost to rent a serviced apartment in Vancouver is around $115 to $300 per night. For longer stays, you can rent out furnished serviced apartments every month at around $3,450.

If you’re looking for a serviced apartment that is quiet and cozy at any time of the day, but has bus stops less than a block away, then we highly recommend staying at Times Square Suites Hotel.
We found it interesting that this serviced apartment is close to various bike lanes and pathways. During our stay, we talked to the concierge and they immediately connected us to their local partners—don’t forget to grab discount coupons at their lobby too!
You’ll love that their staff always replenishes your complimentary coffee by Pedros and tea by Meraki Teas. If you don’t mind switching up your body care brands, you’ll love that the suite also comes with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
You also don’t need to overpack as your room comes with a washer and dryer. You don’t even have to worry about buying your own detergent, as it comes free during your stay too!
For those of you who love staying in their apartments, you can enjoy their cable TV in your suite. It’s also a smart TV so you won’t have to worry about missing your favorite series on various streaming platforms.
We also loved that we didn’t have a hard time moving our grandparents around as the entire place can be accessed by wheelchairs—yes, including the bathroom in our suite!
And if you’re also planning to bring your pets with you, Times Square Suites Hotel is a pet-friendly serviced apartment. Just take note that as of the moment, they can only welcome small pets in a suite!
Spacious rooms
“Excellent location. We got the one bedroom plus den Robson. And it was perfect for my husband and I and two teen kids felt very spacious. The building was very secure the area safe and the location is just amazing so much to do in the area lots of great coffee, shops and restaurants. If there was one thing, that was a challenge would be the lights at night, the window shades don’t keep the light out well and I am a light sleeper so black out shades would have been nice. You do hear some straight traffic, but they provided earplugs and really it didn’t bother us too much.”

Well-kept kitchen
“Amazing location with easy walking to tons of restaurants, the waterfront, and Stanley park. It was quiet and cozy. We rented a two bedroom suite and the rooms were good sized and separated by the main living area to provide extra privacy. Kitchen was well maintained. Would definitely recommend!”

Even if the building and the rooms are quite old, we’re surprised to see that the staff at Sonder The Sunset keeps the apartments clean at all times. So if you want a serviced apartment that provides cleaning staff everyday, then this is the one for you.
You’ll love that you can cook your meals in their kitchenette. It appears small, but we enjoyed their complete kitchen tools and equipment—it even has a cheese grater, which we think normally gets overlooked in some serviced apartments.
If you need to do your laundry, just head to the ground level. There, you’ll find a small coin-operated laundry room, complete with laundry essentials and detergent.
We’re also glad that they’ve got flexible cancellation policies. Two years ago, we had to attend to a family emergency, and the hotel gave us a full refund when we cancelled at the last minute.
However, if you wish to bring your pets with you, this serviced apartment has strict policies when it comes to bringing pets. Moreover, this place isn’t for the party-people too—they don’t even allow smoking on their balconies and patios.
So if you prefer a peaceful stay, especially if you’ve got newborns, the elderly, and even light sleepers, this could be a perfect one for you. Well, close to perfect, as they still need to improve their wheelchair accessibility.
Provides key codes for late check-ins
“My second time staying here, with a few years between visits. The apartment style accommodation suits our needs. There are good travel links close by, and the apartments are spacious with all the amenities you would expect within them. I particularly like the key codes provided before you stay as we had a late check-in. The use of WhatsApp to deal with a couple of minor queries once we had arrived was very responsive. I will be back. The photo is a night view from the sixth floor overlooking the entrance.”

Close proximity to downtown area
“My stay at Sonder The Sunset was absolutely fantastic! It is the 2nd time that I have used this chain and it is my favorite (the other one I used was in Los Angeles, Sonder Found). The people were attentive and helpful. The facilities were clean, beautiful and well set up. Having a washer/dryer in the building was so helpful. It was easy to get supplies as needed. It was central and very convenient. In general, the staff went out of its way to help with directions, local recommendations and assistance with transportation. Definitely will recommend and use again!”

Rosellen Suites is located beside Stanley Park, making it perfect if you want to clock in some steps while staying in a serviced apartment.
You’ll love that the kitchen is spacious and clean too. Feel free to ask for additional cutleries, bowls, and plates, especially if you’re preparing several dishes in the kitchen.
This serviced apartment is also great for the pet lovers out there. Upon booking, just inform the staff that you’ll bring a furry friend with you so you can review their pet policy too!
Before heading to this place, make sure to bring your body care essentials as they don’t provide them here. But in case you forget, you can just buy from the store downstairs.
When you’re going out, make sure to not put your key card and mobile phones in the same pocket as you’ll end up requesting the reception to reconnect your key card if you do!
We just had an issue when we were using their complimentary Wi-Fi, as the signal was a bit weak during our stay. It’s a good thing that we had a better signal from our mobile data, so we just turned on our hotspot while working.
And oh, the outlets are located too far from the bed. So if you’re like us who love using phones while being charged, don’t forget to bring an extension cord with you!
Inexpensive stay, great location
“The suite exceeded expectations. Yes, it was dated but it was well kept. It was clean and had the necessities. With a nice livingroom and a dining area it was way better that a tradition hotel room. The location was great. Central to Stanley Park, English Bay, and Denman St, you can walk in any direction and find something to experience. The staff service was helpful and friendly. The best part is that it is relatively inexpensive. If you take it for what it is and not compare it to mega chains, you will likely have a 5 star experience!”

Accommodating staff
“We LOVE staying at the Rosellen. The rooms are spacious with full kitchen. It’s an older building I believe it was converted from an Apartment. If you need 5 star boutique, this is not your place. However, if you want a very nice place where you have room to live and you value being able to prep your own meals.. This is your place… Oh and if you want to be able to access Stanley Park and the Seawall right out your front door, book the Rosellen. The staff are wonderful and there simply isn’t a better location in the English Bay/Stanley Park area.”

Staying in Yaletown also means getting closer to the city’s best boutique shops. So, Level Vancouver Yaletown is the best one for you if you want to literally shop all day and night.
We also opted to stay here one summer when we wanted to live closer to the beaches. So yes, this serviced apartment is another great option if you want a short drive to the beach in the morning and end the night with some shopping.
We enjoyed their 24-hour guest services, which allowed us to easily check-in even late at night. Unlike some serviced apartments we went to, we never had to worry about leaving our luggage as we can easily go straight to our rooms upon arrival.
If you love spending your time in the kitchen, you’ll surely enjoy their premium kitchen appliances. Our personal favorite was their blender—we even enjoyed creating our protein shakes without waking up our little one (yup, it’s that discreet!).
You’ll love that this serviced apartment has several amenities that you can enjoy. We were supposed to stay here for just two nights, but ended up extending for another two just to maximize their sauna, heated pool, and gym.
For the electric car owners out there, you’ll definitely appreciate that there are EV charging stations available onsite, so you don’t need to worry about charging your cars elsewhere.
Close proximity to a playground
“We had a great experience. Staff reassured me that customer service is not dead. Hotel is sophisticated and at the same time, welcoming to young children. Good location for families – just a block from a playground. My only complaint – would prefer a regular coffee maker over a Keurig.”

Clean and comfortable rooms
“We stayed at the Level on out recent trip to Yaletown. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very courteous. Pool and gym were top notch! Looking forward to my next stay.”

If you’re like us and love having housekeepers daily, then Divya Sutra Suites is the one for you. We’ve been to several serviced apartments where they just assign housekeepers to check on you once a week, and well, that doesn’t work for us.
Here, you can wash your dirty clothes in their daily coin-laundry facility. They also have a dryer so you can already wear those clothes after a few hours of spinning.
For those of you who are arriving late at night, no need to worry about lengthy check-in processes. A dedicated front desk personnel will always be ready to assist you, even if you arrive past midnight.
Meanwhile, if you arrive earlier than the check-in time, you can request them to store your luggage for you. Just be ready to be charged $5 per luggage!
Their serviced apartments can also accommodate pets, so feel free to bring your furry pals during your trip. However, their stay comes with an additional fee per night.
And if you’re on a business trip, this serviced apartment is a great option for you too.
Aside from the reliable Wi-Fi connection, you can also take advantage of their business center, where you can print documents or even use their fax machine and scanner 24/7!
And oh, just a quick tip: don’t forget to bring your own room slippers as the rooms aren’t carpeted!
Provides toiletries
“I’m really happy with our stay at Divya! The location is super handy. The suite was clean, comfy and the staff were super friendly when we checked in. Beds are comfy and the pillows were so good! The shower was nice and as were the toiletries. Walking distance to the city center is good, and there’s a bus stop just outside. Thanks to the team at Divya :)”

Efficient cleaning service
“My experience at this hotel was magnificent. The service and attention of the staff is unique and personal. They gave us very personal attention when we entered the room.
The rooms are very spacious and have views of downtown and the ocean. Very efficient cleaning service. I recommend this hotel for its location and service and for its accessibility to all parts of the city. Personally, the service provided by the girl Rita was great, bilingual attention in Spanish and English and with very good information about the city and surroundings.”
