Since we wanted something sleeker, we requested MV GlassPoint for a frameless shower door in our newly renovated bathroom. One of their sales associates helped us choose from their catalog and pointed us to their recommendations, too.

Last year, my parents asked for a new shower door. Honestly, I was a bit nervous since I knew installations could cause a lot of disruption in their daily routine.

We thought that our sliding shower glass door could still be fixed, but when the repairman told us that we needed to have it replaced for safety reasons, we knew we had to call some experts.
After calling several companies for quotations, Alpha Glass was able to match our budget, and we’re glad we found them. Though, it would’ve been nice if they listed their rates online for easier reference!
We loved how easy it was to coordinate with them. They always kept their lines open, even if we called them in the middle of the night.
We also appreciated their recommendations based on our household. So if you also have young kids at home, you should opt for a tempered glass shower door as they’re five times stronger than regular glass.
You should also go for soft-close hinges, because, hey, we don’t want those little fingers to get caught in between the doors!
But like everyone else, they’re also not perfect. Since their calendar was a bit full when we called, it took them two weeks to install.
Still, we’re surprised that they went out of their way to call us weeks later to check if our newly installed shower doors are working well.
They’ve also got an easy online payment option via Quickbooks, so it’s more convenient for you to settle your bill.

For glass installation on commercial spaces, you may consider contacting Island Glass & Mirror. Aside from shower doors, you can also tap them for other glass or mirror installations, making it convenient for you to coordinate with just one supplier.
They’re also knowledgeable about what documents and permits to prepare, especially if you’re leasing in a building. So, if it’s your first time, processing will be a lot more seamless.
We recently called them to check a glass door panel when we noticed a huge crack right at the center. Before it completely exploded, these shower door pros came to the rescue within an hour.
So if you happen to have an emergency, too, you can count on them to be at your doorstep within the day. Of course, you can’t expect them to deliver new shower doors for you right away, but at least their prompt response already kept you safe!
Don’t worry, once you’re okay with their quotation, they can proceed with the measurements right away.
However, Island Glass & Mirror installations normally take a month as they mostly deal with commercial spaces, so if you’re in a hurry, you may want to check the others on our list.

Okay, here’s a quick story: we thought we were done with home renovations until one day, our goofy two-year-old giant poodle chased a squirrel and ended up breaking our shower enclosure (don’t ask–we have no idea how they ran towards it).
Spoiler alert: The squirrel got away, and Ragnar’s okay as the shower door glass didn’t shatter into pieces! Luckily, My Glass Guys responded to my call right away.

When it comes to quality, their shower doors are pretty sturdy. We didn’t hear rattling sounds whenever we closed them too hard, so that’s a win!
Well, not that I’m already starting to thank the squirrel, but you know what they say—sometimes, the best things come out of the worst situations.
