Chop Steakhouse & Bar is hands down a top contender for indulging in a great steak. With a menu brimming with steak and seafood options and an impressive lineup of wines and cocktails, there’s something to please every palate.

The bone-in ribeye, New York strip, and baby back pork ribs are absolute showstoppers—juicy, flavorful, and downright unforgettable.

We suggest that you pair them with the baked or mashed potatoes, both of which are heavenly, especially when drenched in their divine peppercorn sauce (chef’s kiss doesn’t even do it justice).

And let’s not forget the community bread—it’s a must-order. The buttery goodness will have you polishing it off in seconds (trust us, we almost ordered seconds but had to save room for the meat).

While it’s on the pricier side, Chop is perfect for a splurge-worthy meal with a side of stellar drink options. Oh, and bonus points for the spacious restroom!

The restaurant’s European-inspired décor gives it an elegant feel, though it does create an interesting contrast with the traditional Chinese dishes, like congee, on the menu.

Speaking of the menu, it’s impressively diverse, covering a wide range of both Asian and Western dishes. Whether you’re in the mood for pizza, poutine, hot pot, cakes, Asian desserts, steaks, lobster, or fish, Avery has something to satisfy every craving.

75 West Coast Grill is a stylish, pristine corner spot located inside the Marriott Hotel, making it a standout destination. As part of a tasting tour of Richmond restaurants, it quickly became our favorite!

The happy hour menu here is top-notch, offering an impressive food and drink selection that beats out other hotel restaurants in the city center.

We tried the Steak Sandwich, Truffle Fries, Edamame, Chicken Wings, and Calamari, and everything was fantastic. The lamb chops, served with chimichurri sauce, were perfectly cooked.

But the real star was the Steak Sandwich—crispy baguette-style bread, melted cheese, sautéed onions, and golden French fries—utterly satisfying.

For dessert, the cheesecake was rich, creamy, and chilled to perfection. We’re so glad we didn’t skip it!

10. Moxies Richmond Restaurant

Moxies has quickly become one of our favorite go-to spots for steak. We had a rare sirloin, cooked to perfection—something that’s surprisingly rare for steak chains.

The interior is bright, chic, and welcoming, with a natural décor that includes plenty of greenery.

The service was fantastic, and the food lived up to expectations. We ordered a medium-rare steak, nachos, and a few other dishes, all of which were beautifully prepared.

The standout for us was the Rigatoni. It’s filling yet satisfying, and the first bite is like a burst of umami with Madeira wine adding a nice touch.
